Bhatti Vikramarka unveils Rs 84,790-crore Hyderabad development plan

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government had prepared an Rs 84,790-crore Hyderabad development plan. The initiative aims to make the city a world-class urban centre. It also seeks to place Telangana among India’s fastest-growing states.

Speaking at the NAREDCO Telangana Property Show at HITEX on Friday, Bhatti highlighted the role of real estate and construction in the city’s growth. He described those working in these sectors as wealth creators and partners in development, rather than merely businesspeople.

According to Bhatti, Hyderabad enjoys several advantages over other major Indian cities. Moreover, its reputation as one of the country’s most liveable cities continues to attract people from across India.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government would build on infrastructure created by previous administrations. At the same time, it would focus on expanding facilities and promoting comprehensive urban development.

Hyderabad development plan includes projects worth Rs 55,000 crore

Under the Hyderabad development plan, the government had begun design and tendering processes for projects worth nearly Rs 55,000 crore. These projects form part of the wider Rs 84,790-crore investment programme.

In addition, several other works had reached different stages of implementation. Bhatti said residents would see extensive construction and development activity across Hyderabad and its surrounding areas in the coming days.
