Later, Ponnam Prabhakar announced that the Telangana government had begun releasing Rythu Bharosa assistance into farmers’ bank accounts from Tuesday.

Referring to the previous BRS government, he alleged that it sent SMS alerts under the Rythu Bandhu scheme but delayed the actual release of funds for months. The minister said the Congress government had disbursed ₹27,000 crore to farmers within 30 months.

Expressing confidence, Ponnam Prabhakar said the government would complete the latest fund distribution within nine days. He added that it had achieved the same timeline during an earlier round.

The minister said the government is providing a bonus for fine paddy. It is also supplying modern farm equipment. In addition, it is ensuring smooth paddy procurement and uninterrupted power supply for agriculture.

Meanwhile, Ponnam Prabhakar urged BJP MPs to press the Centre for adequate fertiliser supplies to Telangana. He also alleged that the BJP removes opposition votes in other states. Finally, he asked Congress workers and BLAs to remain vigilant and ensure that no eligible voter loses the right to vote.

Municipal Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Congress leaders and election officials attended the programme.
