Hyderabad: HYDRAA secured government land near Cyber Towers by fencing a 15-acre parcel in Madhapur following directions issued by the High Court.
Officials estimated the value of the property at nearly Rs 3,000 crore.
The land is located in Survey Nos. 41/12, 41/13 and 41/14 of Khanamet village in Serilingampally mandal of Rangareddy district.
The property had remained at the centre of a prolonged ownership dispute.
Government land near Cyber Towers protected after court ruling
A private firm, Ittina Properties, had claimed ownership of the land.
However, the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) issued notices in 2016 directing the company to vacate the property.
The company challenged the notices before the High Court.
Thereafter, Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka delivered a judgment that brought the dispute to a close.
During the hearing, revenue authorities informed the court that no records supported the claim that the government had allotted the land under the ex-servicemen quota in 1963.
They also told the court that the petitioner submitted forged pattadar documents.
Further, officials pointed out that the Rajendranagar Tahsildar Office came into existence only in 1978.
Therefore, documents purportedly issued by that office in 1972 and 1973 could not be genuine.
Authorities also questioned proceedings issued in the name of a recording officer and highlighted discrepancies in official records.
Based on the evidence, the court concluded that the petitioner relied on forged documents to claim government property.
The court subsequently directed authorities to protect the land.
Following a request from the Revenue Department, HYDRAA fenced the entire parcel and installed boards identifying it as government land.
The action aims to prevent future encroachments and safeguard the property.
