Hyderabad: Telangana, Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials to accelerate ongoing infrastructure projects and ensure timely completion of world-class road works across Telangana.
Chairing a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday, the Roads and Buildings Minister said the government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, had launched an extensive programme to improve road infrastructure across the state.

The Minister said the first phase of the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) programme covers 6,092 km of roads at an estimated cost of nearly ₹13,000 crore under 34 packages.
He said work had already begun on the 42-km Nalgonda-Mahabubnagar double road project under Package-2. Furthermore, another 10 packages will begin during July. He instructed officials to speed up execution and continue construction in three shifts after the monsoon, including night work, to meet project deadlines.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said quality road connectivity would promote economic growth, industrial development and employment. He also directed chief engineers to deploy experienced field engineers and closely monitor every package.
The Minister announced that the government would lay foundation stones for HAM and Central Road Fund (CRF) projects in Karimnagar district on July 6. He instructed officials to complete all preparations before the event.

The Minister also reviewed the construction of the new High Court complex and judges’ residential quarters at Rajendranagar. He instructed officials to deploy additional manpower and strengthen supervision to accelerate the work.
He said the government aims to complete the new High Court complex and the new Osmania General Hospital by December 2027.
Furthermore, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy reviewed the progress of TIMS hospitals at Sanathnagar, Alwal and LB Nagar, the expansion of NIMS and the Warangal Multi Super Speciality Hospital. He directed officials to complete the projects at the earliest so they could open for public use.
The Minister also called for greater accountability and instructed officials to post technically competent engineers to all major projects. He warned that he would begin surprise inspections this week and take strict action against negligence or delays.
In addition, he reviewed temple development works at Basara and Bhadrachalam and assessed preparations for the Godavari Pushkaralu. He directed officials to coordinate with all departments and complete the assigned works within the prescribed timelines.
