Gadkari praises Telangana transport reforms and road safety measures

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari praised Telangana transport reforms and appreciated the state government’s initiatives in road safety, digital governance and public welfare.

In a letter addressed to Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Gadkari commended several measures introduced by the state government in the transport sector.

The Union minister appreciated the abolition of transport check posts and the integration of VAHAN and SARATHI platforms in Telangana.

He also praised the implementation of Automated Driving Testing Tracks and Road Safety Audits across the state.

Telangana transport reforms receive Centre’s appreciation

Gadkari stated that Telangana’s initiatives aligned with the Central government’s vision of seamless transport administration and digital governance.

He said the reforms would help improve road safety standards and strengthen transport management systems.

The Union minister also appreciated the Telangana government’s efforts to promote sustainable mobility initiatives.

Further, he praised the awareness programmes conducted during National Road Safety Month to educate the public on traffic safety.
