GITAM Kautilya School signs MoU with Telangana Police Academy

Hyderabad: GITAM Kautilya School of Public Policy on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the RBVRR Telangana Police Academy to strengthen collaboration in public policy, governance, leadership development and law enforcement training.

Director General of Police and Telangana Police Academy Director Abhilasha Bisht exchanged the MoU documents with GITAM Registrar D. Gunasekaran during the programme.

Both officials highlighted the importance of partnerships between academic institutions and police training academies in advancing governance studies, policy research and capacity building.

Deputy Director (In-service) G. Kavitha delivered the welcome address and stressed the importance of institutional collaborations in strengthening professional education and public policy engagement.

GITAM Kautilya School to conduct joint programmes

Under the partnership, the two institutions will jointly organise training programmes, workshops, seminars and conferences for police personnel and officers.

The collaboration will also facilitate faculty and expert exchanges between the institutions.

Key focus areas include cyber law and cyber security, human rights and constitutional law, public policy and governance, and leadership and management.

Meanwhile, officials said the initiative reflected a shared commitment to strengthening professional education and promoting interdisciplinary approaches to governance and policing challenges.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Academy Deputy Director (OD) P. Sri Rama Murthy.

Shivangi Sharma, General Manager (Programs), and Shivangi Pandey, Program Manager (MPP), represented Kautilya School of Public Policy at the event.
