RBVRR Telangana Police Academy marks 40 years of service

Hyderabad: Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy (RBVRR) Telangana Police Academy celebrated its 40th Raising Day with grand events attended by Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, former Directors, senior police officials and partner institutions.

The celebrations concluded with ceremonial events highlighting the Academy’s four-decade contribution to police training and public service.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla praised the Academy’s legacy of discipline, dedication and service. He appreciated its role in transforming young recruits into responsible and citizen-oriented police officers.

The Governor also commended Telangana Police for adopting technology-driven and people-centric policing initiatives across the state.

Abhilasha Bisht IPS, Director of the Academy, reviewed the institution’s 40-year journey in building professional police leadership. She said modern policing required technological adaptability, ethical leadership and emotional resilience.

She reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to competency-based and citizen-centric police training.

The Raising Day celebrations also included sports competitions, blood donation drives and awareness programmes for students on cyber safety and policing.

Senior police officers, former Directors and representatives from partner institutions participated in the programme.

The Academy stated that it would continue focusing on professional excellence and service-oriented police training in the coming years.
