Hyderabad: State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha attended a Praja Palana programme held at Sri Rama Function Hall in Andole-Jogipet on Saturday. District public representatives, officials and a large number of residents participated in the event.
The minister said the state government aimed to provide quality education and comprehensive healthcare services to every citizen.
Damodar Raja Narasimha stated that government hospitals were offering free medical services to prevent people from facing financial hardship due to health problems.
He said the government was expanding modern healthcare facilities to ensure nearly 90 per cent of medical services were available at the district level.
Further, the minister said authorities were strengthening trauma and emergency services to provide faster assistance during emergencies.
Praja Palana programme highlights education and tourism plans
Damodar Raja Narasimha said the government was giving special importance to women’s empowerment and economic development of women’s groups.
He recalled that previous schemes such as Pavalala Vaddi and interest-free loans supported women financially. According to the minister, the government was now providing Indiramma canteens, solar units and petrol bunks to strengthen women’s self-reliance.
The minister also said the government was improving nutrition and educational facilities in schools and colleges across Telangana.
He announced that a pharmacy college would soon be established in Andole. He added that the government was preparing comprehensive plans to develop the constituency as an education hub.
Damodar Raja Narasimha further said the government was formulating a special action plan to develop the Singur region as a tourism centre.
He stated that tourism development would create more employment opportunities for local residents. The minister also said Singur Line works had started with an allocation of Rs. 200 crore.
District Collector Prateek Jain, District SP Paritosh Pankaj, public representatives and officials from various departments attended the programme.
