Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha on Wednesday said the state government had filled 18,000 vacancies in the Health Department since assuming office.
Addressing a programme at Balasadan in Narayankhed in Sangareddy district, the minister said results for Multi-Purpose Workers, ANMs, and Nursing Officers would be released soon.
The minister attended the programme as part of the state government’s 99-day action plan activities.
He said the government continued focusing on recruitment in the health sector to strengthen medical services across Telangana.

Raja Narasimha said authorities would soon announce results for Multi-Purpose Workers, ANMs, and Nursing Officers.
He also highlighted several welfare initiatives related to women, children, elderly citizens, and persons with disabilities.
According to the minister, the government was upgrading Anganwadi centres with Corporate Social Responsibility funds.
He said the centres provided nutritious meals for children between three and six years of age. In addition, infants up to three years received take-home nutrition rations.

During the event, the minister praised the services of ANMs, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi teachers.
He also interacted with girls staying at the Balasadan facility in Narayankhed.
The government continued implementing welfare and health programmes alongside recruitment efforts in the department.
