Chamala questions Modi’s Telangana development remarks

Hyderabad: Congress leader and Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over remarks linked to Telangana development and Central funding.

In a post on X, Chamala questioned Modi’s statement asking Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to “be with him” while discussing Telangana’s development.

The Congress MP asked whether the slogan “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” had turned into “BJP Ka Saath, Tabhi Vikas”.

Meanwhile, Chamala said a Prime Minister must serve every citizen equally from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

He said governance should not depend on which party ruled a state.

Chamala also said development funds were not political favours.

He described them as the rightful share of every state in a federal democracy.

Telangana development should not depend on political alignment, says Chamala

According to the Congress leader, Telangana’s growth, industries, farmers and youth should not depend on political alignment with the BJP-led Centre.

Chamala said linking development with political support for the BJP sent the wrong message to people.

He also said India’s democracy would grow stronger when all states received equal respect.

Further, he said opposition voices should also receive proper attention.

The MP argued that governance should rise above partisan politics.

He added that development should not depend on political loyalty.

Chamala alleged that people expected leadership which united the country instead of pressuring elected governments for political convenience.

He said true leadership involved empowering every state fairly without political conditions.
