Hyderabad: Hyderabad Bonalu security at Lal Darwaza Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Temple received a review from City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Sunday.
Sajjanar inspected security arrangements around the temple during the Ashada Bonalu festivities. He later offered special prayers to the Goddess.
The Commissioner said police had deployed strong security around the temple for 48 hours. He credited devotees for cooperating with the police and helping maintain peace.
Police used advanced technology to strengthen security, Sajjanar said. AI-powered cameras kept continuous watch to prevent chain snatching and thefts.
Police teams also monitored suspicious movements and prepared to respond quickly. Authorities assigned 2,400 police personnel to security duties across two shifts.

She Teams and crime teams joined the security operation to protect devotees. Police teams also set up special pickets around the temple.
Drones and additional CCTV cameras monitored the temple premises and Bonalu procession routes. Police also established a dedicated control room at Union Bank in Lal Darwaza.
The control room helped officials monitor security conditions throughout the celebrations. Sajjanar urged devotees to cooperate with the police and follow security instructions.
He also appealed to devotees to help prevent any untoward incidents during the festivities.
Additional CP Crimes Srinivas, IPS, and Additional CP Law and Order Tafseer Iqbal, IPS, joined the inspection.
Joint CP Traffic Joel Davis, IPS, Charminar Zone DCP Khare Kiran Prabhakar, IPS, and Traffic DCP Rahul Hegde also attended.
DCPs Srinivas and Lavanya, along with other senior police officials, took part in the security arrangements.
