Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand reviewed Telangana Police welfare issues during a visit to the 5th Battalion near Mulugu. He examined infrastructure, housing and other welfare matters and interacted with personnel about their concerns.
Anand visited the battalion along with the Additional Director General of Police (Battalions), the Commandant and other officers. During the interaction, personnel raised concerns about housing, transfers, duty allotments, health schemes and other welfare-related matters.
Telangana Police welfare review focuses on transfers
The DGP stressed the need for transparency in duty allotments and transfers. At the same time, he asked personnel to perform their assigned duties diligently.
Anand said prompt mobilisation and deployment remained critical for maintaining operational readiness. Therefore, he urged personnel to remain prepared to respond whenever their services were required.
The DGP also advised police personnel to stay away from drugs and online betting. Furthermore, he asked them to protect their families from these harmful practices. He urged personnel to actively support the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign.
Telangana Police welfare to include health scheme
Anand also briefed personnel about the Employee Health Scheme. He said authorities would roll out the scheme shortly to strengthen welfare support for police personnel and their families.
The DGP’s interaction covered operational requirements alongside issues directly affecting personnel and their households. Housing, transfers, duty allocation and healthcare featured among the concerns raised during the visit.
