Hyderabad: Telangana Additional CEO V. Venkateshwar Reddy reviewed the progress of SIR voter mapping in Nampally Assembly constituency during a meeting at the ERO office. Electoral Registration Officer T. Dasarath, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, BLO supervisors and BLOs attended the review.
The Additional CEO instructed officials to link all eligible voters in the 2025 electoral roll with the 2002 voter list under the Special Intensive Revision programme.
However, he said the mapping process in urban constituencies was progressing slowly. He directed BLOs to conduct door-to-door visits and collect voter details to speed up the exercise.
Further, Venkateshwar Reddy asked officials to seek support from Booth Level Agents of political parties. He also advised officials to hold meetings with Residential Welfare Associations.
Officials must identify dead voters, multiple entries and shifted voters, he said. He asked teams to take action according to election rules.
SIR voter mapping in Nampally reaches 31.11 per cent
Meanwhile, the Additional CEO directed officials to identify VVIP and VIP voters during the verification process. He appealed to voters to cooperate with field staff and complete the mapping exercise.
Officials informed the meeting that SIR voter mapping in the 63-Nampally Assembly constituency remained slow. The mapping percentage currently stood at 31.11 per cent.
Therefore, Venkateshwar Reddy directed AEROs to speed up the process according to daily targets and the approved action plan.
The Deputy Commissioner of Masab Tank, Assistant Municipal Commissioners, Assistant City Planner, BLO supervisors and other election staff attended the meeting.
