Kavitha alleges irregularities in Stree Nidhi appointments

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief K. Kavitha alleged that Stree Nidhi had turned into a centre for irregularities despite its role in supporting women’s financial empowerment.

Kavitha alleged that the institution’s managing director continued to control operations despite retiring nearly 14 years ago.

She claimed that the official was behind several irregularities in the organisation. She also alleged that he was trying to secure the ex-officio chairman post through unofficial means.

According to Kavitha, officials prepared plans to finalise the appointment during an employees’ meeting scheduled for May 16.

She further alleged that the managing director was trying to retain control over the institution before his tenure ends on May 23.

Stree Nidhi allegations trigger political attack

Kavitha criticised the Congress government and accused it of ignoring unemployed youth while allowing irregular appointments in key positions.

She also demanded that Minister Seethakka respond to the allegations linked to Stree Nidhi.

Meanwhile, Kavitha urged the government to take action against the managing director and ensure transparent recruitment processes.

She further demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issue clear instructions to maintain transparency in appointments and administration.
