Seethakka assures support for journalists in Mulugu district

Hyderabad: Journalists in Mulugu received assurance of support from Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka, during the district conference of working journalists on Friday.

She said the journalism profession remained a valuable pillar in the country and the state.

The Minister attended the second district conference of the Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (IJU) at DLR Function Hall in Mulugu district headquarters.

District TSUWJ president Shafi presided over the meeting.

Journalists in Mulugu assured of government support

Addressing the gathering, Seethakka said she would make efforts to resolve problems faced by journalists in the district and across the state.

She said journalists were fortunate to work in Mulugu district.

According to her, the district earned recognition for its cultural and natural heritage.

The Minister said Mulugu district had dense forests, Kakatiya-era heritage structures and lakes.

Therefore, she said the district had strong tourism potential.

She appreciated journalists for promoting tourism-related developments across the world.

Meanwhile, Seethakka assured that she would work to place Mulugu district at the forefront in different sectors in the coming years.

She also promised efforts to establish a separate press club and allocate house sites for journalists in the district.

In addition, the Minister said the government was ready to allot Indiramma houses to poor journalists.

She asked journalists to bring any problems faced by them to her notice.

District Library Chairman Banoth Ravichander and Market Committee Chairperson Rekha Kalyani attended the programme.

District Rice Millers Association president Badam Praveen also participated in the conference.

TSUWJ state general secretary Ram Narayan, Gadapalli Madhu and Kankanala Santosh attended the programme.

Enagandula Komurayya, district committee members and journalists from different parts of the district also participated.
