Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) increased the upper age limit for the post of Assistant Scientist (Analyst Grade-II) in the Telangana Pollution Control Board from 34 years to 44 years.
TGPSC issued the clarification through a press note linked to Notification No. 01/OG/PC/2026 dated April 20, 2026.
The Commission said the relaxation followed G.O.Ms. No. 86 issued by the General Administration (Services-A) Department on May 18, 2026.
Assistant Scientist age limit revised for recruitment
According to the press note, the revised upper age limit will apply to direct recruitment for the Assistant (Analyst Grade-II) post.
TGPSC stated that candidates who fall within the revised age bracket can now apply for the recruitment process.
The Commission also clarified that applicable age relaxations would continue under the provisions mentioned in G.O.Ms. No. 86.
The revised rules increased the maximum age limit by 10 years, raising it from 34 years to 44 years.

The Additional Secretary of TGPSC issued the notification regarding the revised eligibility criteria.
