Telangana Cabinet meeting rescheduled to May 23 at Secretariat

Hyderabad: The Telangana government rescheduled the Telangana Cabinet meeting from May 21 to May 23 and changed the venue to the State Secretariat in Hyderabad.

The government had earlier fixed the Cabinet meeting for May 21 at 3 pm. It had also announced Yadagirigutta as the venue. However, the government revised the schedule as Saraswati River Anthya Pushkaralu will begin on the same day.

Later, reports suggested that the Cabinet might meet at Yadagirigutta on May 23 during the Chief Minister’s visit for development programmes. However, government sources clarified that ministers would meet at the Secretariat in Hyderabad. The government also issued a fresh order confirming the change.

Telangana Cabinet meeting to discuss welfare schemes

The Cabinet is likely to discuss guidelines and eligibility rules for the Indiramma housing scheme. The government plans to launch the scheme from June 2.

Further, ministers may review HAM road works after completion of the tender process. They are also expected to discuss land value revision, irrigation projects and health cards for employees and pensioners.

In addition, the Telangana Cabinet meeting may take up new job recruitments and allocation of house sites for journalists.
