Hyderabad: The Telangana government released the final ₹2,000 crore to clear long-pending Telangana employee arrears, fulfilling its commitment to settle ₹6,000 crore in dues within 100 days.
The funds were released on Thursday following the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania authorised the final tranche.
Telangana employee arrears commitment fulfilled
In an official statement, the government said it had honoured the assurance given to the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of employees’ unions. The latest release cleared all pending commutation arrears for pensioners.
In addition, the funds settled General Provident Fund (GPF) dues and other small pending bills. The government said the release completed its commitment to disburse ₹6,000 crore in arrears within the promised 100-day period.
Telangana employee arrears followed phased payments
The Finance Department said the remaining administrative liabilities would be cleared in a phased manner. Meanwhile, officials stated that the process would continue over the coming days. The government said the phased approach would ensure the settlement of all outstanding administrative dues.
