Hyderabad: District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan reviewed the progress of the Special Intensive Revision 2026 with all 15 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of Hyderabad district and directed officials to ensure accuracy, transparency and complete voter coverage during the electoral roll revision.
Chairing a review meeting, Karnan instructed officials not to digitise any Enumeration Form unless it carried the elector’s signature. He said the measure would safeguard the authenticity and integrity of electoral records.
The DEO also directed Electoral Registration Officers to ensure that no eligible voter was left out during the revision exercise. He stressed the need to complete all verification activities accurately and transparently.

Karnan instructed officials to identify polling stations with more than 1,100 electors for rationalisation in line with Election Commission guidelines.
He also directed Electoral Registration Officers to verify that every polling station had essential basic amenities to provide voters with a smooth and convenient polling experience. The review focused on improving the quality of electoral rolls while ensuring that all eligible electors were included in the revision process.

Chandrakala, IAS, and Electoral Registration Officers representing all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district.
