Hyderabad: Police continued investigation into a woman kidnap case after unidentified persons allegedly abducted a young woman in Attapur.
Police chased the vehicle from Attapur to Aramghar crossroads after receiving information about the incident. However, the kidnappers managed to escape. Officials could not collect vehicle details because the car did not carry a number plate.
Meanwhile, police examined CCTV footage near pillar number 143 on the PVNR Expressway as part of the probe. Officers continued the investigation for nearly three hours.
Woman kidnap incident probed from different angles
Police said the missing number plate made identification of the vehicle difficult. At the same time, investigators are examining whether the woman kidnap incident was genuine or if another reason led to the episode.
Further, police have not identified the young woman involved in the case. No formal complaint related to the alleged abduction had reached police till the latest update.
Attapur police also questioned eyewitnesses who alerted officials about the incident near the alleged abduction spot.
