Hyderabad: Yadagirigutta temple development works worth ₹99.55 crore began on Saturday after Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid foundation stones at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.
The Yadagirigutta temple development initiative includes projects aimed at improving facilities for devotees and strengthening temple infrastructure.
He laid the foundation stone for a Veda Pathashala project worth ₹43.80 crore.
Revanth Reddy also initiated construction of the Lord’s Nitya Kalyana Mandapam atop the hill at a cost of ₹9.87 crore.
In addition, he started works for a roof covering over the stairway from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop. Officials estimated the project cost at ₹1.41 crore.
The Chief Minister also launched construction of steps towards the Mada Veedhis near the Rathashala at a cost of ₹1.35 crore.
Yadagirigutta temple development focuses on devotee facilities
The government also initiated dormitory halls and accommodation facilities for devotees undertaking Deeksha. Officials estimated the project cost at ₹43.12 crore.
Several senior leaders and public representatives attended the programme.
The event included the participation of Gutta Sukender Reddy, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha and Adluri Laxman Kumar.
Members of Parliament Vemula Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy also attended the programme along with MLAs, MLCs and senior officials.
