K Kavitha places four demands before Telangana Cabinet meeting

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet meeting will take place at the State Secretariat on Saturday evening under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Ahead of the meeting, Telangana Rakshana Sena party president K Kavitha placed four key demands before the government.

Kavitha asked the Cabinet to pass a resolution against the Polavaram-Banakacherla link project. She also urged the government to support the Godavari-Cauvery river interlinking project from Sammakka Sagar in Telangana.

She demanded that the state government send a letter to Union Minister C R Patil after passing the resolution.

Kavitha also asked the government to introduce a fee regulation law. She said the Cabinet should approve the proposal during the meeting. She demanded implementation of the law from the current academic year.

K Kavitha demands action on labour codes

Kavitha further demanded that Telangana refuse to implement the new labour codes. She asked the Cabinet to adopt a resolution on the issue.

She also urged the government to begin distribution of 250-square yard house sites to recognised Telangana movement activists on June 2.

Kavitha said the government should not wait for the K K Committee report before starting the process. She also demanded implementation of all promises made to Telangana movement activists after submission of the report.

The Telangana Cabinet meeting is likely to discuss several administrative and policy matters at the Secretariat.
