Hyderabad: Telangana Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Wednesday unveiled a comprehensive plan to transform Kamareddy into a Kamareddy model constituency. The plan focuses on education, healthcare, sports, irrigation, industries, employment and infrastructure.
Addressing a media conference at his constituency office in Kamareddy, Shabbir Ali said the Congress government had prepared a special action plan for the constituency. He said the government aimed to make Kamareddy an education hub and a model for Telangana.
The adviser welcomed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s decision to sanction ₹5 crore for Kamareddy Boys High School, where he studied. He said the school would get air-conditioned classrooms, digital classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a smart library, sports facilities and better drinking water infrastructure. He added that the works would use Chief Minister’s Relief Fund resources. If required, he would also contribute his personal funds.
Kamareddy model constituency to strengthen sports and healthcare
Shabbir Ali said the government would upgrade the Indira Gandhi Stadium to international standards. Meanwhile, MSN Pharma agreed to install German daylight lighting technology under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme with an investment of ₹78 lakh.
He said the government had already sanctioned ₹9 crore for sports facilities. The project includes an eight-lane athletics track, four tennis courts, a volleyball court, a yoga hall, a modern gym, separate changing rooms and rifle shooting facilities. In addition, the government will construct a swimming pool.
The adviser said the government had granted administrative approval for a fire station, a 50-bed government hospital and an MRO office at Domakonda mandal headquarters. The projects will cost ₹10 crore. Construction will begin soon.

Kamareddy model constituency to focus on irrigation and jobs
According to Shabbir Ali, the government would prioritise roads, underground drainage, drinking water supply, parks, sanitation and junction beautification in Kamareddy town. Similarly, rural areas would receive better roads, drainage, irrigation facilities, schools, health centres and Anganwadi centres.
He also said the government planned to attract industries to the district. Moreover, it would establish skill development centres to improve employment and self-employment opportunities for young people.
Shabbir Ali said the government was ensuring the timely supply of irrigation water, fertilisers and seeds. Besides that, it would improve marketing facilities and establish warehouses and cold storage units to increase farmers’ incomes.
The adviser described a permanent solution to Kamareddy’s irrigation issues as one of his top priorities. Therefore, he would meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy to discuss speeding up the Kaleshwaram project works.
Criticising the previous BRS government, Shabbir Ali alleged that changes to the Kaleshwaram project design had affected irrigation plans for Kamareddy. However, he said efforts would continue to complete the project according to its original design prepared during the tenure of former Chief Minister Dr Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Finally, he reiterated that developing Kamareddy remained his primary objective. He said the government would implement every project transparently and according to public expectations.
Public representatives, Congress leaders and senior government officials attended the programme.
