Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla hosted an At Home reception at Lok Bhavan, Hyderabad, on Saturday to mark Independence Day.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad attended the reception.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also participated. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and N. Uttam Kumar Reddy joined the gathering.
In addition, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, senior government officials, distinguished personalities and other invitees attended the reception.
The Governor welcomed the guests as they arrived at Lok Bhavan. He also extended Independence Day greetings to those attending the programme.
At Home reception brings leaders and officials together
The reception brought together political leaders, senior officials and prominent personalities from different fields. Consequently, the gathering provided an occasion for representatives from various sections to meet during the Independence Day celebrations.
The Governor has traditionally hosted tea receptions on national occasions such as Independence Day and Republic Day. Accordingly, the Lok Bhavan event formed part of this longstanding tradition.
Political representatives from different parties also attended the programme. Senior officials from the State government and other distinguished guests participated as well.
Meanwhile, Independence Day celebrations took place across Telangana on Saturday. Several prominent personalities extended greetings to the Governor and people of the State.
The At Home reception at Lok Bhavan formed part of the State’s Independence Day observances.
