Governor hails Bathukamma’s bond with nature

Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla highlighted the Bathukamma festival’s connection with nature and Telangana’s cultural heritage. He extended greetings to the people of Telangana, particularly women, on the occasion of Engili Pula Bathukamma on Saturday.

In his statement, the Governor described Bathukamma as a distinctive floral festival that reflects the State’s traditions and cultural identity. He noted that the celebrations demonstrate the people’s respect for nature and their shared cultural values.

Shukla said decorating Bathukamma with different flowers and celebrating together reflected unity, harmony and affection among communities. Meanwhile, he emphasised the festival’s significance in preserving Telangana’s traditions and strengthening people’s bond with the natural world.

The Governor also conveyed his wishes for happiness and prosperity in every household. He expressed hope that the blessings of Goddess Gauramma would bring well-being to families across Telangana.

Furthermore, Shukla wished that the cultural splendour of Telangana would continue to shine across the world. His greetings coincided with Engili Pula Bathukamma, which marks the beginning of the State’s vibrant floral festival.
