Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka urged Congress leaders and workers to intensify graduates’ voter registration to strengthen the party’s prospects in the Khammam–Nalgonda–Warangal Graduates’ MLC election. He called for coordinated efforts to secure a decisive victory for party candidate Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy.
Bhatti Vikramarka addressed a meeting organised by the Khammam District Congress Committee at SR Function Hall in Khammam on Saturday. As the chief guest, he stressed the need to turn graduates’ voter registration into a mass movement and enrol every eligible graduate.
The Deputy Chief Minister also called for a clear action plan to achieve a substantial majority. Meanwhile, he urged party leaders to organise meetings across all five Assembly constituencies after completing the district-level meeting.
Following this, Congress leaders should hold mandal- and village-level meetings to accelerate the registration process. Bhatti Vikramarka said party workers needed to coordinate their activities to reach eligible graduates across the district.
Graduates’ voter registration requires coordinated action
Bhatti Vikramarka called for appointing a senior leader to oversee each Assembly constituency. He asked Congress leaders and workers to operate under these constituency in-charges and coordinate their efforts.
He also clarified that graduates who registered as voters in previous elections must complete the registration process again under the current system. Therefore, party workers should identify eligible graduates and ensure their enrolment without overlooking those who had registered earlier.
The Deputy Chief Minister further urged Congress leaders to identify eligible graduates in families that supported the party. Subsequently, they should approach neutral voters and graduates from other sections who viewed the government’s welfare schemes favourably.
He asked party cadres to mobilise these voters in support of Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy. The campaign would focus on expanding voter registration while coordinating party efforts across Assembly constituencies, mandals and villages.
