US firm Sargad to invest ₹1,000 crore in Telangana, plans MRO facility

Hyderabad: US-based industrial platform Sargad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana, committing to invest up to ₹1,000 crore over the next three to five years.

The agreement was formalized at the World Economic Forum 2026 summit in Davos during a meeting between Sargad CEO Srinivas Thota and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who led the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation. Sargad expressed a long-term commitment to phased industrial development in the state.

With experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, and advanced manufacturing, Sargad focuses on certification-intensive, export-oriented sectors. During the discussions, the company conveyed its intent to establish an aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Telangana.

The Chief Minister presented the state’s integrated economic development model, comprising three distinct zones: CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) for service sectors with a net-zero target, PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy) for manufacturing, and RARE (Rural Agri Region Economy) for green economy initiatives.

Revanth Reddy informed the firm about upcoming airports in Warangal and Adilabad and invited Sargad to explore establishing its MRO facility in either location. He assured comprehensive incentives for industries investing in these districts, in line with Telangana’s regional development goals.

IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu also participated in the meeting, highlighting partnership opportunities for Telangana’s MSMEs, especially in equipment manufacturing and related supply chains.
