Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Wednesday sanctioned ₹5 crore for development works in the united Nizamabad district, including tourism infrastructure and civic projects.
TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud said he secured the funds to fulfil commitments made for the district’s development.
The government sanctioned ₹50 lakh to renovate the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium at Tilak Garden in Nizamabad city. Officials will upgrade the auditorium with modern facilities for cultural and social events.
United Nizamabad district to get tourism infrastructure boost
Further, the government allocated ₹4 crore to construct a tourism guest house at Limbadri Gutta in Balkonda constituency. The project is expected to strengthen tourism and create local employment opportunities.
The government also earmarked ₹50 lakh for a tourism guest house at Siddula Gutta in Armur. The new facility will improve amenities for visitors.
Meanwhile, local Congress leaders thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, district in-charge Minister Seethakka and Government Adviser Shabbir Ali for facilitating the allocations.
They said the government would continue implementing development commitments and work towards the overall progress of the united Nizamabad district.
