Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary: TPCC chief pays tribute in Nizamabad

Hyderabad: TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in Nizamabad on his birth anniversary. Mahesh Kumar Goud visited the Rajiv Gandhi statue at Hanuman Junction in Vinayak Nagar and offered floral tributes.

The programme was organised to mark the Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary in Nizamabad city. Speaking on the occasion, the TPCC chief recalled Rajiv Gandhi’s contributions to the country’s development. He also highlighted the former Prime Minister’s vision for youth, technology and local institutions.

Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary marked with floral tributes

Mahesh Kumar Goud garlanded the former Prime Minister’s statue as Congress leaders and workers joined the commemorative programme. He recalled the priority Rajiv Gandhi had given to young people during his political career.

Moreover, the TPCC chief highlighted his contribution to advancing the role of technology in the country. Mahesh Kumar Goud also recalled Rajiv Gandhi’s emphasis on strengthening local institutions.

Nizamabad Mayor Uma Rani participated in the Rajiv Gandhi anniversary programme. DCC president Bobbili Ramakrishna was also present. Corporation chairpersons, Congress leaders and party workers joined the event and paid their respects.

Supporters also participated in the programme at Vinayak Nagar’s Hanuman Junction. The gathering commemorated Rajiv Gandhi while recalling his role in national development, technology, youth empowerment and local governance.
