Korutla minor rape allegation: Police begin investigation

Hyderabad: Police began investigating an alleged Korutla minor rape case after reports that a man sexually assaulted a girl near Nakkalagutta on the town’s outskirts. The incident was reported from Korutla in Jagtial district. Local accounts identified the accused as Venkata Rao, a resident of the same area.

According to those accounts, the girl worked at a shopping mall in the town. She was returning home after completing her work when the accused allegedly approached her on a motorcycle.

He reportedly told her that he was also heading towards her locality and offered to drop her home. The girl then travelled with him on the motorcycle, according to the information available.
