Hyderabad: TG Genco has extended the YTPS tender deadline till July 24 for the third time, giving companies additional time to submit bids for the proposed privatisation of some operations at the Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS).
The previous deadline expired on Tuesday. However, reports indicated that only three companies had submitted their bids. Therefore, TG Genco decided to grant another extension for the tender process.
The latest decision followed two earlier extensions announced for June 29 and July 14 as the corporation continued the bidding process.
Third extension for YTPS tender deadline raises concerns
The repeated extension of the YTPS tender deadline has drawn attention amid growing concerns expressed by employees over the proposed privatisation of some plant operations.
Despite multiple opportunities provided to bidders, participation has remained limited. The latest extension will now allow interested companies to submit their tenders until July 24.
TG Genco has not announced any changes to the tender conditions, and the bidding process will continue under the existing terms until the revised deadline.
