Political clash erupts at Karimnagar MLA camp office

Hyderabad: A political clash erupted in Karimnagar after BJP workers allegedly attacked the camp office of MLA Gangula Kamalakar.

The protest followed remarks made by BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay.

The protesters allegedly vandalised the office premises and damaged Kaushik Reddy’s vehicle.

During the attack, BJP workers reportedly broke window panes and damaged furniture inside the camp office.

BRS leaders immediately moved Kaushik Reddy into a room inside the building as tensions escalated outside the premises.

Political clash leads to heavy police deployment

Police rushed to the spot after tensions escalated near the camp office. Authorities later detained several BJP leaders involved in the protest.

BRS leaders condemned the attack and accused BJP workers of disturbing peace in Karimnagar town.

Earlier, Kaushik Reddy addressed a press conference at the MLA camp office and made sharp remarks against Bandi Sanjay.

The BRS MLA alleged that law and order had deteriorated in Karimnagar. He also criticised the Union minister over recent incidents in the town.

Kaushik Reddy questioned why officials did not conduct a review meeting after a major robbery reportedly took place near Bandi Sanjay’s office.

He also accused the Union minister of echoing the political agenda of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

During the interaction, Kaushik Reddy challenged Bandi Sanjay for a debate on Karimnagar development and public issues.

The BRS MLA further stated that KTR was ready for a drug test. He questioned whether Bandi Sanjay was prepared for the same.

Meanwhile, police intensified security arrangements in Karimnagar town following clashes between BJP and BRS supporters.
