Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy travelled through regular Hyderabad traffic on Thursday after returning to the city from Delhi.
The Chief Minister arrived from Shamshabad Airport and proceeded to his residence amid the normal flow of vehicles across the city.
Recently, Revanth Reddy instructed senior police officials not to cause inconvenience to the public during convoy movement. He directed officials to avoid stopping traffic completely for his travel on city roads.
Hyderabad traffic convoy movement changed
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, the traffic police allowed vehicles to continue moving in a single lane while the convoy passed.
Earlier, police officials usually halted traffic movement entirely during VIP convoy travel. However, the latest arrangements reduced disruption for commuters in Hyderabad.
Officials managed traffic movement while ensuring security for the Chief Minister’s convoy during the journey from the airport.
The revised convoy arrangements aimed to minimise inconvenience to the public on busy city roads.
The Chief Minister recently stressed that authorities should avoid measures that created difficulties for commuters during official movement in Hyderabad.
