Kaushik Reddy alleges conspiracy behind Karimnagar attack

Hyderabad: BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy alleged a conspiracy behind the attack on the government camp office allotted to Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar.

Political tension erupted after Union Minister Bandi Sanjay questioned whether KTR was ready for drug tests. The BRS leader later responded by alleging that Bandi Sanjay consumed drugs mixed with tobacco.

Following the remarks, BJP workers gathered near the camp office and allegedly attempted to attack the MLA.

The protesters later entered the premises and damaged vehicles and furniture inside the office.

After the incident, the BRS MLA addressed the media and accused Bandi Sanjay and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of planning the attack.

Kaushik Reddy blames BJP leaders for attack

He stated that he only responded to comments made by Bandi Sanjay regarding KTR and drug allegations.

The MLA claimed that he had already alerted officials about possible threats to his life.

He also alleged that BJP workers carried sticks, knives and petrol bombs during the attack at the camp office.

The BRS leader questioned why authorities failed to control worsening law-and-order conditions in Karimnagar.

He said he only objected to what he described as inappropriate remarks against KTR.

The MLA further stated that he was ready to apologise publicly if anyone proved that he intentionally provoked the violence.

He also questioned public safety in the state if even elected representatives could not receive adequate protection.

According to the BRS leader, the incident exposed political coordination between Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay.
