KTR, Harish Rao condemn attack on Gangula camp office

Hyderabad: Senior BRS leaders and MLAs K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao condemned the alleged attack on the Gangula camp office and the vehicle of MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy in Karimnagar on Thursday.

KTR alleged that BJP activists carried out the attack on the camp office of BRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar. In a post on X, he claimed that followers of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar entered the premises and vandalised vehicles and office property.

The BRS working president criticised the police for allegedly remaining silent during the incident. He also accused Bandi Sanjay of acting as the “B-team” of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

According to KTR, the attacks took place because the BJP had no answers to questions raised by BRS leaders. He stated that it was unacceptable for a Union Minister of State for Home Affairs to behave in a manner that weakened law and order.

Moreover, KTR described the incident as a mockery of democracy. He demanded accountability from the authorities over the alleged attack.

Harish Rao also condemned the incident and questioned the law-and-order situation in Telangana. He said it was unfortunate that such incidents occurred in a constituency represented by a Union Minister of State for Home Affairs.

The senior BRS leader demanded immediate action against those responsible for the alleged attack. Additionally, he urged the State government to maintain law and order and protect elected representatives and party offices.

Harish Rao warned that if such incidents continued, people themselves would be forced to come onto the streets to protect democracy.

Meanwhile, the alleged attack triggered sharp political criticism between the BRS and BJP in Karimnagar. Both leaders accused the ruling establishment of failing to prevent violence.
