Hyderabad: Villagers and local leaders staged a protest on Friday, demanding the widening of the Shamshabad-Narkuda road. They alleged that authorities had delayed the long-pending project.
The protesters held a dharna and claimed MLA Prakash Goud’s alleged negligence had stalled the road widening works. They urged the government to begin the project without further delay to improve connectivity and road safety.
The protesters also alleged that the MLA had failed to discharge his responsibilities. They demanded his resignation.

Police intervened during the protest, detained the demonstrators and cleared the protest site.
Former ZPTC member Satish, Kumar Yadav, Mahesh Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Krishna, Nagesh, Mahesh Goud, Srikanth Goud and Babu participated in the protest.
