Hyderabad: State Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheques to beneficiaries in Pegadapalli mandal. The welfare cheques in Pegadapalli included ₹39 lakh under Kalyana Lakshmi and ₹31 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The Minister handed over the cheques along with officials at the MPDO office in the Pegadapalli mandal headquarters.
Laxman Kumar said the government had worked for the welfare and development of all sections in the Dharmapuri constituency. He said the government had sanctioned Indiramma houses for every eligible poor family.
In addition, the government had supplied fine rice through ration cards and provided free bus travel for women. Moreover, Laxman Kumar said more eligible beneficiaries would receive Indiramma houses in the second phase. He also said the government would distribute Indiramma sarees to women by Dasara.
Welfare cheques in Pegadapalli accompanied by development plans
Laxman Kumar said the government would take measures to prevent irrigation water shortages in Pegadapalli mandal. As part of the plan, it would develop the Rangadhamunipalli and Dikonda tanks in Gollapalli mandal.
Through these works, the government aimed to provide irrigation water to agricultural lands in Pegadapalli mandal. Furthermore, the Minister said the government would sanction funds to improve infrastructure across the mandal. He said the Tribal Welfare Department had already sanctioned funds to construct roads to all tribal hamlets in the mandal.
Laxman Kumar added that the government would allocate dedicated funds for welfare and development programmes. Consequently, the administration would use these funds to provide facilities required by residents.
Mandal Tahsildar Syed Nizamuddin and MPDO Prem Sagar attended the distribution of welfare cheques in Pegadapalli. Market Committee Chairman Burra Ramulu Goud and Mandal Congress president Kadari Tirupati also participated.
In addition, sarpanches Orugali Aruna Srinivas, Aitharaveni Laxman Kumar, Mokinapalli Gopal, Ramesh Naik and Kumar attended the programme. Market Committee directors Chetla Kishan, Chatla Vijay Bhaskar, Lingampalli Mahesh, Balusani Srinivas and Manne Ganga Rajam were also present.
Meanwhile, leaders Sandhi Mallareddy, Pusala Tirupati, Bandari Srinivas, Ram Reddy and Sunkari Ravi attended. Tadagonda Raju, Dikonda Mahender and Raju Kumar also participated.
