Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has sharply reduced fares on its Pushpak AC buses operating to Shamshabad International Airport, offering relief to commuters in Greater Hyderabad. The reduced fares come into effect from today, October 7.
Greater Hyderabad TGSRTC Executive Director Anchuri Sridhar said fares on Pushpak buses running from several areas have been revised to ease the burden on passengers travelling to the airport. Officials said Pushpak buses offer comfortable AC travel to airport-bound passengers, and the fare cut is likely to encourage more people to use the service.
On buses from the Miyapur area to the airport, the fare from Miyapur X Road has come down from Rs 350 to Rs 250 and from JNTU from Rs 350 to Rs 200. The fare from Shilparamam has been cut from Rs 300 to Rs 200, while that from Gachibowli has been halved from Rs 300 to Rs 150.
The Lingampalli route has also seen steep reductions, with the fare from Lingampalli to the airport cut from Rs 300 to Rs 200 and from Alwin X Road from Rs 350 to Rs 200. Passengers from Kondapur will now pay Rs 200 instead of Rs 300, while fares from Kothaguda and Gachibowli have dropped from Rs 300 to Rs 150.
Fares on JBS route also reduced
Fares on Pushpak buses between JBS and the airport have been revised as well. The fare from JBS to the airport has been reduced from Rs 350 to Rs 200, and from the airport to JBS from Rs 400 to Rs 300, saving passengers on the return journey up to Rs 100.
The revision also covers some other routes besides the Pushpak services. The fare from Mandamallamma to JBS, JBS to Mehdipatnam and JBS to Aramghar stands at Rs 100 each.
