Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited Mudimanikyam village under the Palle Palelaku Ponnamanna – Palle Pallelo Praja Palana programme and reviewed public issues. He interacted with residents and took steps to address the problems they raised.
First, Ponnam Prabhakar inspected a free medical camp in the village. He also joined a programme that distributed medicines to prevent uterine diseases among livestock.
In addition, the minister received petitions from residents and directed officials to act on their grievances. He also checked whether people received government schemes and sought details of problems affecting the village.
Mudimanikyam had received several welfare and development measures. These included Indiramma houses, pensions, free power, gas subsidies, farm loan waivers, Rythu Bharosa and ration cards.
Moreover, women’s groups received loans under the welfare measures. The village also received cement-concrete roads and drainage works. The government also took up school development works.
Ponnam Prabhakar checks welfare delivery at village level
The programme aimed to take public administration directly to villages. Through the initiative, representatives visited villages to check scheme delivery and understand local problems from residents.
At the same time, the government prioritised farmer welfare and women’s economic empowerment. It also focused on creating opportunities for youth and improving education and healthcare.
Further, rural infrastructure remained a key area of attention. Ponnam Prabhakar said the government was addressing public grievances after identifying problems in villages.
The minister’s Mudimanikyam visit covered public petitions, healthcare services and livestock care. He also reviewed welfare and development measures implemented in the village.
Officials received directions to act on the grievances raised during the visit.
