₹15 crore sanctioned for Mandamarri infrastructure works

Hyderabad: The government sanctioned ₹15 crore in UIDF funds for Mandamarri infrastructure works covering all 24 wards of the municipality, Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy said on Wednesday. Vivek laid the foundation for development works in Ward 14 along with Municipal Commissioner Tungapindi Rayalingu.

The Minister said measures were being taken to provide essential infrastructure to residents in phases. He also announced that various development works worth about ₹40 crore would begin shortly.

The sanctioned ₹15 crore would support development and infrastructure improvements across the municipality’s 24 wards. Vivek said the government was working to address basic civic requirements while taking up wider development projects in Mandamarri.

Mandamarri infrastructure works include water and drainage

The Mandamarri infrastructure works also covered measures to improve drinking water supply and sanitation in the town. Vivek said a programme to provide household tap connections under the AMRUT scheme was already underway. The initiative was aimed at supplying clean drinking water to residents.

In addition, steps were being taken to construct cement concrete drains to improve sanitation across Mandamarri. The Minister said the government would take up the required infrastructure projects in phases. He added that efforts would continue to develop Mandamarri across different sectors.

Vivek said his focus was on providing residents with improved civic infrastructure while carrying out development works throughout the municipality. Town president Manda Tirumal Reddy and district SC Cell president Paidimalla Narsing attended the foundation programme.

Senior leaders Sotku Sudarshan, Bandi Sadanandam, Nomula Upender, Gudla Ramesh and Manthena Bhoomaiah also participated. SC Cell town president Neruvatla Srinivas, M.D. Isaq and women party workers were also present.

The ₹15 crore UIDF allocation would cover Mandamarri infrastructure works across all 24 wards, while additional projects worth about ₹40 crore were expected to begin shortly.
