Vivek Venkataswamy seeks support for TWU-INTUC candidates

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Vivek Venkataswamy urged RTC employees in Mancherial to vote for TWU-INTUC candidates in the ongoing elections. He appealed to workers to support the alliance candidates with a large majority.

Vivek said the Congress government remained committed to the welfare, rights and job security of RTC employees. He said the government had continued efforts to address issues faced by the workforce.

The Telangana Workers Union (TWU) and INTUC had joined hands to contest the elections. Therefore, Vivek asked RTC workers to vote for the candidates contesting on the bow symbol.

The minister said Congress workers at all levels were campaigning for TWU candidates under the party leadership and the guidance of TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud. He also said the government was continuing measures to resolve RTC employees’ concerns.

TWU-INTUC candidates backed on RTC merger assurance

Vivek reiterated that the Congress government would immediately begin the process of merging the RTC with the government if workers supported and elected the Congress-INTUC-TWU alliance.

He also said the Congress government had sanctioned and paid two pending dearness allowances after assuming office. Worker welfare remained a key priority for the government, he said.

Further, Vivek assured RTC employees that the government would continue working to resolve their problems. He said the Congress government would honour its commitments on workers’ rights, job security and welfare.

The minister specifically appealed to RTC employees from the Mancherial region to vote for the TWU-INTUC candidates on the bow symbol. He sought their support for a decisive victory for the alliance candidates.
