Hyderabad: Gajwel Tahsildar Chittampalli Swamy was suspended after allegedly making insensitive remarks to a farmer in Siddipet district. The action followed a complaint from farmers and a preliminary report submitted by the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO).
A video purportedly showing the Tahsildar addressing the farmer went viral on social media. In the video, he allegedly asked the farmer, “Are you still alive? Haven’t you consumed pesticide?”
The remarks triggered demands for action against the official. Subsequently, farmers lodged a formal complaint seeking disciplinary action against the Tahsildar.
