Telangana launches free coaching for Class 10 failed students

Hyderabad: The Telangana government announced free coaching for students from government schools who failed the Class 10 examinations this year.

The Education Department decided to organise special remedial coaching camps so that students could clear supplementary examinations.

Officials selected two PM SHRI schools in every district for the programme. Meanwhile, the coaching camps will run from May 12 to June 3 across the state.

Subject expert teachers will train students on important topics. In addition, they will help improve students’ confidence before the supplementary examinations.

Free coaching camps to begin in PM SHRI schools

The government decided to provide the coaching programme without placing any financial burden on students or their families.

Officials will supply books, pens and study material free of cost to students attending the camps. Besides this, authorities will provide breakfast every day during the training period.

Moreover, the government will bear transportation expenses for students travelling from their homes to the coaching centres.

Officials said the state would spend nearly ₹1,100 per student for the programme.

The initiative aims to ensure that students do not discontinue their education after failing the examinations.

Meanwhile, education department officials said the programme would help improve government school results and strengthen public confidence in the education system.

Authorities noted that many failed students could not afford private tuition. Therefore, the government plans to give them another opportunity through this free coaching initiative.

Additionally, students are expected to prepare without pressure and perform better in the supplementary examinations through the coaching camps.
