Kishan Reddy to inaugurate Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station on July 26

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy will inaugurate the Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station on July 26. The new station will improve rail connectivity for pilgrims and local commuters in the region.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, local public representatives, South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Hyderabad Divisional Railway Manager Santosh Kumar Verma and other senior railway officials are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.

Meanwhile, South Central Railway built the station on the recently commissioned Manoharabad-Siddipet railway line. The line forms part of the Manoharabad-Kothapalli new rail line project. The project cost about Rs.6 crore.

Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station to improve pilgrim connectivity

Further, the station offers a high-level platform, platform shelters, a waiting hall, drinking water facilities and other passenger amenities.

According to South Central Railway, the station will improve access for devotees visiting the Komuravelli Mallanna temple. It will also benefit students, employees and other local commuters by strengthening regional rail connectivity.

In addition, Kishan Reddy will flag off Train No. 77654 (Siddipet-Secunderabad DEMU) from the Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station during the inauguration.

Currently, four DEMU services operate between Secunderabad and Siddipet. From July 26, these trains will stop at the new station. The additional halt will improve connectivity for pilgrims and residents travelling to Hyderabad and other destinations.

Further, South Central Railway said the new station would promote religious tourism. It will also improve transport for short-distance passengers. Moreover, the railway expects the station to support the socio-economic development of the Komuravelli region.
