Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner reviewed civic problems in Vasanth Nagar Ward under the One Ward Every Day programme. He directed officials to resolve the identified issues on priority.
The Commissioner inspected the ward with senior municipal officials. The team included the Zonal Commissioner, Additional Commissioner for Sanitation and Deputy Commissioner. During the visit, Resident Welfare Association representatives met the Commissioner. They raised several civic concerns and proposed steps to improve public services.
One Ward Every Day identifies key infrastructure needs
Residents reported that several street lights were not working. They also sought better play areas for children in local parks. In addition, the associations asked the corporation to strengthen door-to-door garbage collection. They also urged officials to improve drinking water supply.
Residents raised concerns about the Underground Drainage network. Moreover, they sought development of the JNTU–Miyapur service road. After the meeting, the Commissioner instructed all departments to work together. He asked officials to give priority to each issue.
The Commissioner also directed them to complete the identified works without delay. The One Ward Every Day programme focused on faster action and closer coordination. Officials began recording the concerns raised during the inspection. They also reviewed the required work across sanitation, roads, lighting, parks, water supply and drainage.
The civic body planned to monitor the progress of each department. Therefore, officials had to report action on the problems identified in Vasanth Nagar.
