Kavitha calls Revanth Reddy a “vicious Chief Minister”

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena founder Kalvakuntla Kavitha called Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy a “vicious Chief Minister”.

She also accused the Congress government of functioning like a “malignant administration”.

Kavitha made the remarks after meeting Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

Leaders of Telangana Rakshana Sena, Dharma Samaj Party and affected families also attended the meeting.

The delegation raised issues related to demolitions in Velugumatla and land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road project.

They also discussed the proposed industrial park at Kadlapur in Pargi mandal.

Addressing the media later, Kavitha said the delegation explained concerns over changes in the RRR alignment and land acquisition in Rayagiri.

She also alleged that authorities attempted to acquire land for the Kadlapur Industrial Park.

According to Kavitha, protests organised by Telangana Rakshana Sena and Dharma Samaj Party forced the government to halt land acquisition for the Pargi industrial park and the RRR project.

Kavitha further claimed that the government agreed to allocate land to displaced families in Velugumatla at the same location.

She described the developments as “partial victories” for affected families.

However, Kavitha stated that intervention from the Centre was still necessary to ensure complete justice for displaced people.

The TRS leader said the Governor assured the delegation that he would seek reports from the state government.

She added that the Governor also promised efforts to ensure justice for affected families.

Kavitha warned that the parties would intensify protests through democratic means if the government failed to address the issues within a reasonable timeframe.
