Japanese investment in Telangana gets fresh push from Vivek

Hyderabad: Minister Energy, Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, and Mines G. Vivek Venkataswamy invited Japanese companies to invest in Telangana, promising government support for new industries and projects.

He said Japanese investment Telangana opportunities were backed by skilled manpower, infrastructure and an investment-friendly environment.

The Minister assured Japanese businesses that the State government would provide necessary support and guidance. He said the government wanted their investments in Telangana to remain safe and profitable.

Vivek made the pitch while attending the ‘Leveraging Indian Talent’ India-Japan Workforce Roundtable in Osaka as chief guest. Rohit Rao, founder and CEO of Career Consultz, organised the roundtable.

The event brought together Japanese business leaders and industry representatives. Officials from government and educational institutions also participated. Discussions focused on investment opportunities, skilled manpower, employment generation and talent mobility between India and Japan.

Japanese investment Telangana pitch highlights skilled workforce

Vivek said Telangana offered extensive investment opportunities supported by a strong pool of skilled human resources. He highlighted the availability of talent across several major sectors. These included information technology, engineering, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

The Minister urged Japanese companies to expand their existing operations in Telangana. He also invited them to establish new industries and projects in the State. According to Vivek, Telangana had rapidly developed as an investment-friendly State under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership.

He said the government had been building a business-friendly ecosystem for investors. As part of this approach, the State would facilitate necessary approvals and infrastructure for companies, he said. Moreover, the government would extend other required support to investors.

Vivek told participants that Telangana’s skilled workforce could support Japanese companies looking to expand their operations. The roundtable also examined how Indian talent could meet workforce requirements while creating additional employment opportunities.

Japanese companies show interest in 600-acre industrial park

Vivek said Japanese companies had shown interest in establishing a new industrial park in Telangana. According to the Minister, the proposed industrial park would cover around 600 acres.

He described the interest in the project as a sign of Japanese investors’ confidence in Telangana. Vivek subsequently encouraged more Japanese businesses to examine opportunities available across the State.

He urged them to establish industries and use Telangana as a destination for future investment. The Minister said Japanese investment Telangana initiatives could benefit from the State’s talent base and government support.

Principal Secretary for Finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania attended the programme. Labour, Employment, Training and Factories Secretary Dasari Harichandana was also present at the Osaka roundtable.

The Minister reiterated the State government’s commitment to assisting Japanese companies seeking to establish or expand operations in Telangana.
