Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended Bakrid greetings to the people of Telangana and conveyed wishes for peace, happiness and good health on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Governor said the Bakrid festival symbolised sacrifice and supreme devotion in Islamic faith.
He stated that the festival represented values such as charity, sharing, compassion and support for the needy.
Bakrid greetings highlight harmony and unity
Shiv Pratap Shukla expressed hope that the celebrations would strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, sacrifice and public service in society.
The Governor also said that celebrating Bakrid in its true spirit would promote peace, harmony, cooperation and unity among people.
He conveyed special wishes to the Muslim community across Telangana on the festive occasion.
