Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief K. Kavitha accused the state government of adopting a selective approach in its HYDRAA action. She alleged that the demolition drive targeted poor residents while sparing influential people.
In a post on X, Kavitha criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over the implementation of HYDRAA. Meanwhile, she alleged that the government was using bulldozers against economically weaker sections in Hyderabad.
HYDRAA action draws fresh political criticism
Kavitha also alleged that the government misled courts to protect educational institutions linked to AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. She claimed the institutions had come up on encroached lake land.
Further, Kavitha alleged that the government ignored what she described as visible encroachments. She remarked that while others could see the alleged constructions on the lake, the Chief Minister could not.
She also made a sarcastic remark that the Chief Minister needed an eye examination. Additionally, she alleged that the government demolished the houses of poor people in the name of HYDRAA while protecting encroachments by influential individuals.
Kavitha’s remarks added to the political debate surrounding the ongoing HYDRAA action and the state’s demolition drive.
