Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha demanded that Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan return 10 acres of land that she alleged were classified as shikam land in official irrigation records.
Speaking at the Telangana Rakshana Sena office in Banjara Hills, Kavitha claimed irrigation department records identify the 10-acre parcel as shikam land.
She said Pawan Kalyan had earlier stated that he would surrender the land if authorities proved it was government or shikam land.
Kavitha urged him to hand over the land to the government.
She also sought compensation for him on the lines extended to farmers in similar cases.
Pawan Kalyan land controversy centres on survey records
Kavitha alleged that the land comes under Survey No. 706.
She claimed irrigation authorities had already identified it as shikam land.
According to her, registration documents described only three acres as shikam land.
She alleged that officials classified the remaining area differently.
However, she said official records identify the entire 10-acre parcel as shikam land.
Kavitha said her organisation would release supporting documents.
Meanwhile, Kavitha criticised Pawan Kalyan’s recent remarks on Telangana and regional politics.
She said Telangana’s people secured statehood through a prolonged movement.
The TRS leader also objected to comments related to late balladeer Gaddar.
She said artists deserve respect and should not become subjects of political claims.
Kavitha further alleged that Telangana continued to face political interference from leaders outside the state.
She said her organisation would continue raising issues related to Telangana’s resources, identity and rights.
